What I Do

I help deep-tech founders cross the gap between research and reality: from first meaningful build to the first factory that actually runs.

Industrialization & Scale-Up

Transform prototypes into stable, manufacturable products. Process development, Design for Manufacturing & Assembly, equipment specification, quality assurance, and assembly sequencing for real programs.

Manufacturing System Design

Factory layout, tooling strategy, process flow simulation, PFMEA, defect cataloging and elimination, and team operating systems built to withstand real-world constraints and audits.

Crisis-to-Order Execution

Line builds, Apollo Root Cause Analysis, 8D, supply-chain salvage, triage of failing processes, and fast restoration of operational flow when the situation is already on fire.

20+ Years Turning Hard-Tech Into Operations

2004

Career launch at GE Global Research (Edison Engineering Development Program) in industrial R&D and manufacturing systems.

2007

Master’s in Materials Engineering. Advanced role in GE’s Process Systems Lab, developing new manufacturing processes across the GE portfolio.

2013

Moved out of pure research into an automated casting foundry startup at GE Aviation Deutschland, facing real production constraints.

2018

After a painful plant shutdown, pivoted to Lilium and became Lilium’s first Manufacturing Engineering Manager, building the ME function from zero.

2020

Built and led Lilium’s Manufacturing Process Engineering team, covering batteries, machining, composites, and final assembly processes.

2023

Promoted to Head of Manufacturing Engineering, responsible for delivering Start of Production across all aircraft internal production value streams.

2024

Head of Central Services – overseeing Industrial Engineering, Facilities, Tooling and Fixture Design, Machining/Additive, and the production training academy.

2025

After Lilium's tragic shutdown, pivoted to VoltStorage as Head of Manufacturing, industrializing iron-salt battery technology and building a new production line under tight capital constraints.

2025

Established independent practice as a deep-tech scale-up expert, guiding founders from first build to first factory.
